Andy Timmons
Andy Timmons is recognized around the world as a true master of the guitar. He’s toured the world opening for Kiss and Alice Cooper (with Danger Danger), sold over a million records worldwide, had two #1 videos on MTV, and has amassed a discography that includes 7 solo releases that range from blazing guitar instrumentals, to blues, and even a Beatles/Elvis Costello-inspired collection of pop tunes.
Timmons has also been featured as a session player on CDs for artists as wide ranging as drumming legend Simon Phillips, Olivia Newton-John (Andy has been her music director/guitarist for several U.S. tours), Paula Abdul, Paul Stanley, and two internationally acclaimed CDs by Kip Winger.
He has toured extensively both with his trio, The Andy Timmons Band, and as a clinicin=an for Mesa Boogie and Ibanez. Timmons’ passionate and exiting live performance style has earned him invitations to share the stage alongside many of his heroes such as Steve Vai and Joe Satriani (as a regular guest on their G3 tours in Dallas), Eric Johnson, Steve Morse, Mike Stern, Ace Frehley, Ted Nugent, and Pierre Bensusan, as well as some of his fave ’60′s singing stars such as the Beach Boys, Lesley Gore, and Gordon Waller.
Currently, The Andy Timmons Band has three songs for sale in the Rock Band Store; Redemption, Deliver Us and Headed for the Ditch, with the later being touted as the hardest guitar chart currently on Rock Band!
